TERM OF OPERATION

I understand that the Music Academy operates through all public and school holidays within the published term dates. Any exceptions to this will be communicated in advance.

I understand that the Music Academy’s policy is that catch-up lessons will only be offered if lessons are cancelled by the Academy (e.g. tutor unavailability or facility issues), and not for student holidays, short-term sickness, or clashes with other activities.

In the event of long-term sickness or injury, I will inform the Music Academy immediately and provide a valid medical certificate in order to receive a credit note. Failure to provide this may result in a reduction in the value of the credit note offered or a reduction in the number of catch-up classes granted.


LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS

I understand that the Music Academy accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to property or valuables belonging to registered students on my account, even if such items are left in lockers or storage areas provided.


FEES AND CREDIT NOTES

I understand that the Music Academy may offer catch-up lessons or credit notes under the following circumstances:

·        If the Academy cancels a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. tutor illness, facility maintenance, safety issues).

·        In cases of medical issues that persist for three or more consecutive sessions, supported by a valid doctor’s certificate.

Catch-up lessons must be booked and taken within the same term. Any catch-up lessons not utilised during the term will expire.

Credit sessions will be valid for 6 months only from the date of issue. If not redeemed within this period, they will expire.

In exceptional circumstances (e.g. relocation outside of the country, prolonged medical conditions with valid medical documentation), a refund may be granted at the discretion of the Managing Director. I understand that fees are structured as 30% administration and business costs, and 70% tuition fees. In the event of a refund, only the tuition fee portion will be refunded on a pro-rata basis for the affected sessions.


NOTICE PERIOD

For ongoing one-to-one lessons in schools and the Saturday Elite programme, we require six weeks’ (half-term) notice if you wish to discontinue lessons after they have commenced.

 

PAYMENT TERMS

I understand that if I make payment by cheque and the cheque is returned by the bank for any reason, there will be an administrative charge of AED 100 (for UAE customers) payable to the Music Academy.
